Boabs in the Kimberley’s Taste Sensations
Gourmet Preserves – with crunchy pieces of Baby Boab
Once peeled, a Baby Boab tuber is crisp and white with a texture similar to water chestnuts and a sweet delicate flavour. Baby Boab is best served raw or lightly cooked, and maintains its crunchy texture when incorporated into preserves. The preserves are all hand made and have no additives. Boabs In The Kimberley grow and source produce from the Ord River Area whenever possible. It is a home based business on the outskirts of Kununurra.
The sweet taste is excellent for use in fruit preserves, and compliments the intense flavour of mango, and tartness of wild rosella. Coarsely-chopped pieces of Baby Boab provide a crunchy texture to our savoury chutneys and relishes.
